How to Care for Your Lingerie
Proper care will extend the life of your bras and keep them looking beautiful. Follow these tips to get the most from your lingerie investment.
Washing Your Bras
Hand Washing (Recommended)
- Fill a basin with cool or lukewarm water
- Add a small amount of gentle detergent (avoid harsh chemicals)
- Submerge bras and gently swish for 2-3 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly with cool water until all soap is removed
- Gently press out excess water - never wring or twist
- Lay flat or hang to air dry
Machine Washing (When Necessary)
- Always use a lingerie wash bag or mesh bag
- Fasten all hooks to prevent snagging
- Use cold water and delicate cycle
- Use mild detergent only
- Wash with similar colors
- Never put bras in the dryer
Drying
- Air dry only - heat damages elastic and fabric
- Hang by the center gore or lay flat
- Never hang by straps (causes stretching)
- Keep away from direct sunlight
- Ensure completely dry before storing
Storage
- Stack bras with cups nested inside each other
- Never fold cups in half (damages shape)
- Store in a cool, dry drawer
- Keep away from rough fabrics that can snag
- Use drawer dividers to keep organized
What to Avoid

- ❌ Bleach (damages fabric and color)
- ❌ Hot water (weakens elastic)
- ❌ Dryer heat (destroys shape and elastic)

- ❌ Wearing the same bra multiple days in a row
How Often to Wash
Wash bras after 2-3 wears to remove body oils and maintain freshness. Sports bras should be washed after each use.
When to Replace
Replace your bra when:
- Band has stretched and no longer provides support (even on tightest hook)
- Underwire pokes through fabric
- Straps lose elasticity
- Cups lose shape or padding shifts
- Generally every 6-12 months with regular wear
